I miss you Dad

It has been almost a week since my Dad passed away. Even typing it doesn't seem real. I will be heading to CA for his funeral service on Thursday. The service is on Friday afternoon. I don't think it will hit me that he is gone until I get to his house and he just isn't there anymore. So many memories have come back to me this last week. I've talked to so many people who have helped me to remember different things about my Dad. It probably sounds silly but with it being Fall and all of the pumpkins around sometimes it makes me smile and sometimes cry. My Dad used to call me his lil' punkin and that was one of the last things I said to him. That no matter what I would always be his lil' punkin.
